👀 Supervision
A parent or guardian must stay with their child at all times and is responsible for their safety and behaviour during the session. We create a fun and engaging environment, but active supervision is essential. Messy Mates is not a childcare service — parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times during sessions or events.

⚠️ Allergies & Sensitivities
Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance if your child has any allergies or sensitivities (including food or skin). We use a wide range of taste-safe and non-toxic materials, but we may not be able to accommodate late allergy disclosures. While we do our best to accommodate known allergies, participation is at your own risk. Due to the external environment and items brought in by others, we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination.

🧽 It’s Going to Get Messy!
Our sessions involve materials like paint, slime, and mud – so expect mess! Dress yourself and your child in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. We do our best to manage hazards, but messy play can mean slippery surfaces, so no running please.

👶 Ages & Participation
Sessions are designed for children aged 6 months to 5 years. Please ensure your child is within this age range. In emergencies, we’ll call for help and support as best we can, but medical decisions remain your responsibility.

📸 Photography
We sometimes take photos and videos during sessions to share the messy magic on social media and in our marketing. If you don’t want your child included, just let us know in writing before your session.

🤧 Sickness
If your child is unwell (fever, rash, cough, etc.), please don’t attend. This helps keep our play space safe for all. We may refuse entry if a child appears unwell on arrival.

🌧️ Weather Policy

Messy Mates sessions will go ahead in most weather conditions, including light rain, as outdoor play in varied environments can be a valuable sensory experience. Please dress children in weather-appropriate clothing that can get messy.

In the event of severe weather (e.g. storms, extreme heat, flooding, or unsafe conditions), sessions may be rescheduled, relocated, or cancelled at the discretion of Messy Mates. We will always notify you as soon as possible by email and/or social media updates.

If a session is cancelled due to weather, you will be offered the choice of:

• A transfer to another session (subject to availability), or

• A credit for a future booking.

Refunds are not automatically issued for weather-related cancellations.

Please note that once a session has commenced, no refunds or credits will be given if the weather changes unexpectedly during the session.

🚨 Waiver
By attending, you acknowledge the risks of messy play (like slips or minor skin irritation). We take precautions, but by joining in, you agree not to hold us liable for any accidents or incidents.

⏰ Be On Time
Please arrive on time, as sessions start promptly and we can’t extend them for late arrivals.

📅 Session Changes
We may need to modify or cancel sessions due to illness, weather, or other issues. If this happens, you’ll be offered a new date or credit for a future booking.

📄 Updates
We may update our terms from time to time and will let you know before your next session if anything changes.
