Creating meaningful connections through messy moments

Our Journey

Messy Mates isn’t just a business – it’s a community. It’s a place where babies, toddlers, and young children can explore, get messy, and grow through play, and where parents and carers can connect, chat, and enjoy the chaos together. Every session is designed with development in mind – motor skills, communication, sensory regulation, creativity – all built into play that’s safe, fun, and inclusive.

We use taste-safe materials, follow child-led play principles, and take care of everything from setup to clean-up. Whether we’re splashing in jelly, scooping coloured rice, or exploring nature-inspired textures, we’re all about letting kids be kids.

At Messy Mates, we believe that play is powerful – and that the mess is more than worth it.

Thanks for being here – I can’t wait to meet you and your little ones soon!

About the Owner

Dedicated and Passionate

Grace

Hey everyone, my name is Grace and I’m the owner of Messy Mates Play Dates! I’m so excited to help create special memories through messy play.

I’m a mum to a gorgeous little boy named Noah, and a stepmum to two other beautiful kids. I’ve always loved getting my hands dirty, but even more so since becoming a mum! From making fun potions with the older kids to creating taste-safe sensory experiences for Noah, messy play has become a big part of our lives.

When the opportunity came up, I knew I had to be part of the Messy Mates community. I can’t wait to help create beautiful, joy-filled memories for you and your children—one messy play date at a time!
